Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (plus more for rolling)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until a dough forms.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the bottoms are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool slightly, then roll them in powdered sugar while still warm.
- Once completely cooled, roll them in powdered sugar again for a snowy coating.
