Description

This Classic Italian Stromboli features a golden, crispy crust filled with layers of savory deli meats and melted cheeses. It’s a perfect dish for parties, family dinners, or a satisfying comfort food meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1/3 pound turkey slices
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1/3 pound large deli pepperoni slices
  • 8 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
  • 1/3 pound large deli salami slices
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 egg white, beaten
  • Marinara or pizza sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 18×12 inches.
  3. Brush the dough with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and ¼ cup of Parmesan cheese.
  4. Layer turkey slices evenly, followed by mozzarella, pepperoni, provolone, and salami. Sprinkle dried oregano on top.
  5. Roll the dough tightly from the long edge to form a log and pinch the seams and ends to seal.
  6. Place the stromboli seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg white and sprinkle remaining Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Score the top with 3-4 slits to allow steam to escape.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • You can substitute or add different deli meats to your preference.
  • Ensure the dough is rolled tightly to avoid gaps during baking.
  • For extra crispiness, bake directly on a pizza stone if available.
