Description

These cocktail meatballs are the ultimate party appetizer—juicy, flavorful, and coated in a sweet and tangy sauce. Perfect for serving at gatherings, potlucks, or holidays.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil (for frying or baking)
  • 1 cup grape jelly
  • 1 cup chili sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat oil in a skillet over medium heat if frying.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until just combined and form into small meatballs (about 1 inch).
  4. Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes, or cook in a skillet until browned and cooked through.
  5. In a large saucepan, combine grape jelly and chili sauce over medium heat.
  6. Stir until smooth and bring to a simmer.
  7. Add cooked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 10-15 minutes until fully coated and heated through.
  8. Serve warm with toothpicks for easy grabbing.

Notes

  • You can substitute grape jelly with apricot jam or cranberry sauce for a twist.
  • Use pre-cooked frozen meatballs to save time—just simmer in sauce until heated through.
  • Keep meatballs warm in a slow cooker for parties.
