Ingredients
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 cup dill pickle juice
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup 2% milk
- 1–1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
- 2 teaspoons seasoned salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Canola oil for frying
Instructions
- Place chicken in a large bowl and cover with pickle juice. Cover and refrigerate for 2-4 hours.
- In a small bowl, whisk egg and milk; pour over chicken. In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, seasoned salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Remove chicken from marinade and dip pieces into flour mixture, coating all sides.
- In a deep skillet or Dutch oven, heat 1 inch of oil to 350°F. Fry chicken, a few pieces at a time, until golden brown and cooked through, 3-4 minutes per batch.
- Drain on paper towels. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Marinating the chicken in pickle juice gives it that signature Chick-fil-A flavor.
- For extra crispiness, double-dip the chicken in the flour mixture.
- Use a thermometer to maintain oil temperature for even cooking.
