Description
These crispy Corn Ribs are a fun and tasty way to enjoy corn on the cob, sliced into rib-like pieces, seasoned, and roasted or air fried until caramelized and golden.
Ingredients
- 4 ears of corn
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Lime wedges, to serve
- Fresh cilantro or parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C/390°F (fan forced) or 220°C/430°F (conventional), or preheat air fryer to 200°C/390°F.
- Cut the corn into quarters lengthwise to resemble ribs. Use a sharp knife and be cautious as corn is tough to cut.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Brush or toss the corn ribs with the seasoned oil mixture to coat evenly.
- Place the corn ribs on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or air fry for 12–15 minutes until the edges curl and the corn is golden and slightly charred.
- Serve hot with lime wedges and a sprinkle of fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- Be very careful when cutting the corn — use a sharp knife and work slowly.
- Air frying gives a crispier texture, but oven baking works well too.
- Feel free to customize the seasoning with your favorite spice blends.
