Description

Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup fresh strawberries (diced)
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 12 slices brioche bread
- Butter (for cooking)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, diced strawberries, and sugar until well combined. Set aside.
- In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt to make the batter.
- Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture onto one side of 6 slices of brioche bread. Top each with another slice of bread to form a sandwich.
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a small amount of butter to coat the surface.
- Dip each sandwich into the batter, ensuring both sides are well coated but not overly soaked.
- Place the sandwiches on the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Work in batches if necessary, adding more butter as needed.
- Remove the French toast from the skillet and keep warm while cooking the remaining sandwiches.
- Serve immediately with your favorite toppings such as syrup, powdered sugar, or extra berries.
Notes
- Allow the cream cheese to fully soften for easier mixing.
- Thick brioche or challah bread works best for a rich texture.
- Do not soak the sandwiches too long in the batter to prevent them from falling apart.
