Description

Skillet Chicken with Creamy Cilantro Lime Sauce is a flavorful, easy-to-make dish featuring juicy pan-seared chicken breasts smothered in a rich, creamy sauce infused with fresh cilantro, garlic, and zesty lime.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • Zest of 1 lime

Instructions

  1. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken breasts and sear for about 5-6 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown. Transfer chicken to a plate and cover to keep warm.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream, chopped cilantro, lime juice, and lime zest. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top. Simmer for an additional 2 minutes to reheat the chicken.
  8. Serve warm with extra cilantro and lime wedges if desired.
