- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain the rest and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Stir in lemon zest and juice, then pour in heavy cream. Stir well to combine.
- Bring to a gentle simmer, then add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to loosen it.
