Description

These crispy ground beef tacos are a delicious and easy-to-make meal featuring seasoned ground beef tucked into golden, crunchy tortillas with your favorite toppings. Perfect for a family dinner or casual gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 10 corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, hot sauce

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  2. Drain excess grease if necessary, then add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. Stir and let simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  3. In a separate skillet, heat about 1/2 inch of oil over medium heat.
  4. Place 2 tablespoons of seasoned beef and a pinch of cheese onto one half of a tortilla. Fold it over gently to close.
  5. Carefully place the taco in hot oil and fry each side for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with remaining tacos.
  6. Remove tacos from oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve warm with your choice of toppings.

Notes

  • Do not overfill the tacos to avoid spillage during frying.
  • Use toothpicks to hold the tacos closed while frying if needed.
