Description
These Crispy Parmesan Broccoli Chips, also known as Smashed Broccoli, are a delicious and healthy snack or side dish. Roasted until golden and topped with parmesan, they’re crispy on the outside and tender inside.
Ingredients
- 1 large head of broccoli (or 2 small heads), cut into florets
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Steam the broccoli florets for about 3 minutes until just tender but still firm. Drain and let cool slightly.
- Spread the florets on the prepared baking sheet and gently flatten each with the bottom of a glass or jar.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the smashed broccoli.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy immediately for best texture.
