Description
A rich and creamy slow cooker hot chocolate made with real chocolate, cocoa powder, and cream. Perfect for cozy gatherings or a comforting warm drink on a cold day.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 2 cups whole milk
- ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a medium slow cooker, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. The cocoa may not fully mix at first but will incorporate as it heats.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring occasionally to help the chocolate melt and blend smoothly.
- Once hot and fully combined, pour into mugs and serve with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- Top with whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate shavings, or a sprinkle of cinnamon for extra flavor.
- Stir occasionally while heating to prevent chocolate from settling at the bottom.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently on the stovetop or microwave.
- For a deeper chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
