Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup dairy-free butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips (optional)
- Dairy-free vanilla ice cream, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine melted dairy-free butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until smooth.
- Add eggs, red food coloring, vanilla extract, and vinegar to the wet mixture and whisk until fully incorporated.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Stir in dairy-free chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow brownies to cool completely before slicing. Serve with a scoop of dairy-free vanilla ice cream.
