Description

Date Snickers are a healthy, no-bake treat made with Medjool dates stuffed with peanut butter, coated in chocolate, and sprinkled with chopped peanuts. They taste just like a Snickers bar but are naturally sweetened and made with wholesome ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 10 Medjool dates
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter (natural, creamy or crunchy)
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped roasted peanuts

Instructions

  1. Slice each date open on one side and remove the pit.
  2. Fill each date with about 1 teaspoon of peanut butter and gently press closed.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
  4. Dip each stuffed date into the melted chocolate, coating fully. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Sprinkle the tops with chopped peanuts while the chocolate is still wet.
  6. Place in the refrigerator or freezer for 10–15 minutes, or until chocolate is set. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use almond butter or sunflower seed butter for a variation or nut-free version.
  • Dark chocolate (70% or higher) gives a richer, less sweet flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freezer for up to 1 month.
