Description

Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
  • 1 box (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (for ganache)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for ganache)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, sour cream, oil, and warm water until well combined.
  3. Stir in 2 cups of chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared bundt pan.
  5. Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. To make the ganache, heat the heavy cream until just boiling, then pour over 1 cup of chocolate chips. Let sit for 2–3 minutes, then stir until smooth.
  8. Drizzle the ganache over the cooled cake before serving.
