Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup strawberry jam or preserves
  • ¼ cup fresh strawberries, diced (optional)
  • 2024 wonton wrappers
  • Water, for sealing the edges
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. Fold in strawberry jam and diced strawberries (if using) until just combined.
  3. Lay out wonton wrappers on a clean, dry surface. Place about 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wrapper.
  4. Dip your finger in water and run it along the edges of the wrapper. Fold into a triangle or desired shape, pressing edges firmly to seal.
  5. Heat 2-3 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
