Description

A cheesy, flavorful Dorito casserole layered with seasoned ground beef, creamy soups, and crunchy nacho cheese chips, perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner or party dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 (14 ounce) party size bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos
  • 1 ½2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies
  • 23 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (optional)
  • Sour cream, for serving
  • Diced green onion, for serving
  • Sliced cherry tomatoes, for serving
  • Sliced avocado or guacamole, for serving
  • Salsa, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pan, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain the fat.
  3. If using, add taco seasoning to the meat and stir to combine.
  4. Add the cheddar cheese soup, cream of chicken soup, evaporated milk, and diced green chilies to the pan. Cook, stirring, until the mixture is hot and bubbly.
  5. Spray a baking dish with non-stick spray.
  6. Layer half of the Doritos (crushed slightly) on the bottom of the baking dish.
  7. Spoon half of the meat mixture over the chips.
  8. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese over the meat layer.
  9. Repeat the layers with remaining Doritos, meat mixture, and cheese.
  10. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the casserole is heated through.
  11. Serve hot with sour cream, diced green onions, cherry tomatoes, avocado or guacamole, and salsa on the side.

Notes

  • Customize with your favorite type of cheese or add black beans or corn for extra texture.
  • Use lean ground beef or ground turkey for a lighter option.
