Description
Easter Bunny Chow is a festive twist on traditional puppy chow (or muddy buddies), made with white chocolate, pastel candies, and rice cereal. It’s a sweet and crunchy treat perfect for springtime celebrations and Easter parties.
Ingredients
- 6 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup Easter M&Ms (or other pastel chocolate candies)
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- Optional: pastel sprinkles
Instructions
- Pour Rice Chex cereal into a large mixing bowl and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until fully melted and smooth.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently stir until all the cereal is coated.
- Place the coated cereal into a large zip-top bag and add powdered sugar. Seal the bag and shake until all the cereal is coated with sugar.
- Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet and let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, mix in Easter M&Ms, mini marshmallows, and optional pastel sprinkles.
- Store in an airtight container until ready to serve.
Notes
- You can use candy melts instead of white chocolate chips for more vibrant colors.
- Try using different pastel candies or cereal shapes for variety.
- Great for gift bags or Easter basket treats.
