Description

Ingredients

Fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into uniform slices, rings, chunks, or spears (about 4 cups)

Light brown sugar (2–4 Tbsp)

Ground cinnamon (1 tsp)


Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the pineapple into evenly sized pieces for consistent caramelization.
  3. Toss pineapple in a bowl with brown sugar and cinnamon until fully coated.
  4. Arrange pieces in a single layer in the basket; lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  5. Air-fry for 6–8 minutes; flip each piece and cook another 6–8 minutes, until golden and caramelized (total 12–16 minutes).
  6. Cool slightly and serve warm—delicious on its own or topped with ice cream, whipped cream, or yogurt.

Notes

  1. Use canned or frozen pineapple: Adjust cook time (frozen or canned needs less time, around 8–12 minutes).
  2. Alternate sweeteners: Swap brown sugar for coconut sugar, maple sugar, maple syrup, or honey.
  3. Spice it up: Add cardamom, cloves, all-spice, chili powder, or lime zest for extra flavor.
  4. Maple-glazed version: Toss chunks in maple syrup and cinnamon instead of sugar for a vegan option.
