Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pour the melted butter into a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in the milk until just combined to form a batter.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
- Evenly distribute the blueberries over the batter. Do not stir.
- Sprinkle 1/4 cup of sugar over the top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the batter has set.
- Let it cool slightly before serving. Best served warm with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- You can use either fresh or frozen blueberries. No need to thaw frozen ones.
- Do not stir the batter and butter together; the layering helps form the cobbler texture.
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
