Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the melted butter into a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Stir in the milk until just combined to form a batter.
  5. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
  6. Evenly distribute the blueberries over the batter. Do not stir.
  7. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of sugar over the top.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the batter has set.
  9. Let it cool slightly before serving. Best served warm with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • You can use either fresh or frozen blueberries. No need to thaw frozen ones.
  • Do not stir the batter and butter together; the layering helps form the cobbler texture.
  • Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
