Description

These easy chocolate covered strawberries make a delicious and impressive treat, perfect for Valentine’s Day, parties, or a sweet homemade gift. They only require two ingredients and a few simple steps.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries (about 20 strawberries)
  • 8 ounces semisweet or dark chocolate, chopped (or chocolate chips)
  • Optional: 1-2 ounces white chocolate or milk chocolate for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Wash the strawberries and dry them completely with a paper towel. Make sure they are fully dry before dipping.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
  3. Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Alternatively, melt using a double boiler.
  4. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, turning to coat all sides. Let the excess drip off.
  5. Place the dipped strawberry on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. If using, melt the white or milk chocolate and drizzle it over the dipped strawberries with a spoon or piping bag.
  7. Let the strawberries sit at room temperature until the chocolate sets, or refrigerate for 15–30 minutes to speed up the process.

Notes

  • Make sure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to prevent chocolate from seizing.
  • You can use any type of chocolate: dark, milk, or white, based on preference.
  • Decorate with crushed nuts, sprinkles, or drizzle for a fancy touch.
