Ingredients
- 1 lb. cod fillets
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1/8 tsp paprika
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 Tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the cod fillets in a baking dish and season with salt and pepper.
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir to combine.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture over the cod fillets.
- Bake the cod for 15-20 minutes or until it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.
Notes
- Use fresh or thawed frozen cod fillets.
- Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper for more or less spice.
