Description

A cozy and hearty layered taco bake made with seasoned ground beef, soft flour tortillas, salsa con queso, and plenty of melted Mexican-style cheese. Perfect for an easy and satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) taco seasoning
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 cup salsa con queso
  • 3 (8-inch) flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray an 8-inch round baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown and crumble the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add taco seasoning and water according to packet instructions. Stir well and cook until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in salsa con queso until fully combined.
  5. Place one flour tortilla in the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  6. Spread one-third of the beef mixture evenly over the tortilla.
  7. Sprinkle one-third of the shredded cheese over the beef layer.
  8. Repeat layers with second tortilla, another third of beef mixture, and more cheese.
  9. Top with the final tortilla, remaining beef mixture, and remaining cheese.
  10. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and edges are lightly browned.
  11. Allow to cool slightly before slicing into wedges and serving.
