Description

This flavorful dish is made with tender chicken slow-cooked in tangy salsa verde. Perfect for tacos, burritos, or served over rice.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 jar (16 oz) salsa verde
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Pour the salsa verde over the chicken.
  3. Add lime juice, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
  5. Shred the chicken using two forks and mix it with the sauce in the slow cooker.
  6. Serve with your favorite sides, like rice, tortillas, or tacos. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
