Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 jar (16 oz) salsa verde
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Pour the salsa verde over the chicken.
- Add lime juice, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
- Shred the chicken using two forks and mix it with the sauce in the slow cooker.
- Serve with your favorite sides, like rice, tortillas, or tacos. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
