Description

Mark’s English Sausage Rolls are a classic British snack made with savory sausage meat wrapped in flaky puff pastry. Perfect for parties, picnics, or a hearty appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce) package pork sausage
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 (17.25 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine sausage, parsley, thyme, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well blended.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into thirds along the fold lines, creating six long rectangles.
  4. Divide sausage mixture into six equal parts. Shape each portion into a log and place it down the center of each pastry strip.
  5. Fold pastry over sausage and press edges to seal. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Cut each roll into four equal pieces.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  8. Serve warm or at room temperature.
