Description

This Epic Roasted Garlic Pizza features a caramelized roasted garlic base, melty mozzarella, and a golden crispy crust. Perfect for garlic lovers and easy to make at home, it delivers bold flavor with gourmet flair.

Ingredients

  • 1 ball pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 whole garlic bulbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup ricotta cheese (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cornmeal or flour for dusting the baking surface

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the tops off the garlic bulbs to expose the cloves slightly. Drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast in the oven for 35–40 minutes until golden and soft.
  3. Let the garlic cool, then squeeze the cloves out of the skins and mash into a spreadable paste.
  4. Increase oven temperature to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat.
  5. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured or cornmeal-dusted surface to desired thickness.
  6. Spread the roasted garlic paste evenly over the dough.
  7. Top with shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, and spoonfuls of ricotta if using. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Transfer pizza to preheated stone or baking sheet and bake for 10–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  9. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh basil or parsley, slice, and serve.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
  • Reheat in a 375°F (190°C) oven, skillet, or air fryer for best texture.
  • You can roast the garlic ahead of time for quicker prep.
  • Use a blend of cheeses for a richer flavor profile.
  • To prevent a soggy crust, thoroughly preheat your oven and avoid overloading with toppings.
