Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fettuccine pasta
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and pour in the heavy cream. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring often, until it begins to thicken slightly.
