Description
These Fireball Cookies are soft, chewy, and bursting with bold cinnamon flavor thanks to the addition of Fireball Cinnamon Whisky. Perfect for adult gatherings or holiday parties, they offer a fun twist on classic cinnamon cookies.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp Fireball Cinnamon Whisky
- Optional: 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg or cayenne pepper
- Optional: Cinnamon sugar for rolling
- Optional: Glaze (1/2 cup powdered sugar + 1 tbsp Fireball Whisky)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and Fireball Whisky. Mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- If using, stir in nutmeg or cayenne pepper for added spice.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls.
- Optional: Roll each dough ball in cinnamon sugar for extra flavor and crunch.
- Place dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden and centers are set.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Optional: Drizzle with glaze made from powdered sugar and Fireball Whisky once cooled.
Notes
- Use room temperature butter for easier mixing.
- Adjust Fireball amount for stronger or milder flavor.
- For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
- To maintain softness, store with a slice of bread in the container.
