Description

These Fresh Peach Fritters are a sweet, crispy, and juicy treat made with ripe peaches and a simple batter, then deep-fried and glazed for the perfect summer dessert or indulgent breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and chopped
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 23 tbsp milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then mix in the milk and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped fresh peaches.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
  7. Fry until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes per side, then remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
  9. Drizzle or dip the warm fritters in the glaze before serving.

Notes

  • Best served warm and fresh for the crispiest texture.
  • You can substitute canned or frozen peaches if fresh are not available.
  • Adjust the glaze thickness by adding more or less milk.
  • Use a thermometer to maintain oil temperature for even frying.
