These Fresh Peach Fritters are a sweet, crispy, and juicy treat made with ripe peaches and a simple batter, then deep-fried and glazed for the perfect summer dessert or indulgent breakfast.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and chopped
- Oil for frying
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tbsp milk (for glaze)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then mix in the milk and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped fresh peaches.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes per side, then remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
- Drizzle or dip the warm fritters in the glaze before serving.
Notes
- Best served warm and fresh for the crispiest texture.
- You can substitute canned or frozen peaches if fresh are not available.
- Adjust the glaze thickness by adding more or less milk.
