Description
Crispy fried mushroom slices coated in seasoned breadcrumbs and served with ranch dressing—a delicious, crunchy appetizer or snack perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Ranch dressing (for dipping)
Instructions
- Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and the third with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each mushroom slice into the flour, followed by the beaten eggs, and then coat it thoroughly in the seasoned breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the breaded mushroom slices in batches, avoiding overcrowding the pan.
- Fry each mushroom for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Serve the fried mushrooms hot with ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
Notes
- For extra flavor, mix grated Parmesan cheese or dried herbs into the breadcrumb mixture.
- Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to achieve a crispy texture.
- Best served immediately while hot and crunchy.
