Ingredients

  • 1 bag of Fritos (about 9 oz)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can chili (15 oz)
  • 1 packet chili seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup diced red onions
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the chili seasoning mix to the beef, then stir in the canned chili. Let it simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
  3. While the chili is cooking, prepare the salad by layering the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, red onions, and Fritos in a large serving bowl.
  4. Once the chili mixture is ready, spoon it over the salad.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top and add a dollop of sour cream.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
