Description

A rich and comforting pasta dish featuring garlic butter spaghetti tossed with Parmesan cheese and topped with savory seasoned ground beef.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup heavy cream (optional)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and season with smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking up any clumps with a spatula. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Stir in heavy cream (if using) and ½ cup of reserved pasta water.
  4. Add cooked spaghetti and savory beef into the skillet. Toss to coat evenly in the garlic butter sauce. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top and toss again until creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  5. Plate the spaghetti, garnish with chopped parsley, extra Parmesan, and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, omit the heavy cream.
  • Use whole wheat or gluten-free spaghetti for dietary preferences.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
