Description

Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta is a simple and flavorful dish combining tender shrimp sautéed in a rich garlic butter sauce with perfectly cooked pasta. This quick and delicious recipe is perfect for a weeknight dinner or special occasion meal.

Ingredients

  • 200g spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 250g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup pasta water (reserved from boiling)

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a pot and cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water and drain the rest.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes, and cook until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Return shrimp to the skillet and mix with the garlic butter sauce.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
  6. Sprinkle with grated parmesan and chopped parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can use linguine or fettuccine instead of spaghetti.
  • Adjust chili flakes to your spice preference.
  • Freshly grated parmesan enhances the flavor better than pre-grated.
