Description

This creamy garlic sauce is a rich, flavorful addition to pasta, meats, or vegetables. Made with fresh garlic, cream, and Parmesan, it’s quick to prepare and perfect for elevating everyday meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 6 garlic cloves (minced or grated)
  • 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: parsley or chives (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30-60 seconds until fragrant, without browning.
  3. Stir in the flour and cook for another 30 seconds to form a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in the cream to avoid lumps.
  5. Simmer the mixture for 5-6 minutes, stirring frequently, until slightly thickened.
  6. Add the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
  7. Remove from heat and serve warm, optionally garnished with herbs.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best texture and flavor.
  • Add more cream or a splash of milk to adjust the thickness.
  • This sauce pairs well with pasta, chicken, seafood, or vegetables.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
