Description
Ginger Peach Sweet Iced Tea is a refreshing Southern-style beverage infused with the natural flavors of peach and a hint of ginger. This sweet tea is perfect for cooling down on hot days or serving at summer gatherings.
Ingredients
- 3 family-size black tea bags
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 (15 oz) can sliced peaches in heavy syrup
- 2 inches fresh ginger root, peeled and sliced
- 6 cups water, divided
- Ice, for serving
- Fresh peach slices and mint, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the tea bags and ginger slices. Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes.
- Remove tea bags and ginger. Stir in sugar until fully dissolved.
- In a blender, puree the canned peaches with their syrup until smooth.
- In a large pitcher, combine the peach puree and the sweetened tea mixture.
- Add the remaining 4 cups of cold water and stir well.
- Refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh peach slices and mint if desired.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar to taste.
- Fresh or frozen peaches can be used instead of canned.
- For stronger ginger flavor, let the ginger steep longer before removing.
