Description

Ginger Peach Sweet Iced Tea is a refreshing Southern-style beverage infused with the natural flavors of peach and a hint of ginger. This sweet tea is perfect for cooling down on hot days or serving at summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 3 family-size black tea bags
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 (15 oz) can sliced peaches in heavy syrup
  • 2 inches fresh ginger root, peeled and sliced
  • 6 cups water, divided
  • Ice, for serving
  • Fresh peach slices and mint, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the tea bags and ginger slices. Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bags and ginger. Stir in sugar until fully dissolved.
  4. In a blender, puree the canned peaches with their syrup until smooth.
  5. In a large pitcher, combine the peach puree and the sweetened tea mixture.
  6. Add the remaining 4 cups of cold water and stir well.
  7. Refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh peach slices and mint if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar to taste.
  • Fresh or frozen peaches can be used instead of canned.
  • For stronger ginger flavor, let the ginger steep longer before removing.
