Description
Sweet medjool dates stuffed with creamy goat cheese and topped with crunchy nuts and a drizzle of warm honey. A simple and elegant appetizer perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 18 to 20 medjool dates
- 4 ounces goat cheese (softened)
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts (or pistachios or nut of choice)
- Warmed honey
Instructions
- Cut the medjool dates in half length-wise, leaving them partially intact on the backside so they open like a book. Remove the pits.
- Spread softened goat cheese into each date.
- Top with chopped walnuts and gently press them into the filling. Lightly close each date to hold the filling in place.
- Drizzle with warmed honey and serve.
Notes
- Swap walnuts with pistachios, almonds, or pecans for different flavors.
- Serve slightly chilled or at room temperature for best texture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of sea salt before serving.
