Description
These Greek Yogurt Brownies are rich, fudgy, and moist with a healthier twist. Made with creamy Greek yogurt instead of heavy butter, they deliver a decadent chocolate flavor while staying lighter and protein-packed.
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup melted butter or coconut oil
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the melted butter (or coconut oil) and mix until fully incorporated.
- Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 22–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Do not overmix the batter to keep the brownies fudgy.
- For extra richness, add additional chocolate chips on top before baking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- These brownies can be refrigerated for a denser texture.
