Description

These Greek Yogurt Brownies are rich, fudgy, and moist with a healthier twist. Made with creamy Greek yogurt instead of heavy butter, they deliver a decadent chocolate flavor while staying lighter and protein-packed.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup melted butter or coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Add the melted butter (or coconut oil) and mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 22–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the brownies fudgy.
  • For extra richness, add additional chocolate chips on top before baking.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • These brownies can be refrigerated for a denser texture.
