Description

Creamy, savory ground beef alfredo combines rich homemade Alfredo sauce with seasoned beef and tender fettuccine for a comforting and satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
  3. Remove excess fat from the skillet, then add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes until softened.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and milk, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  5. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Continue stirring until the sauce becomes creamy and smooth.
  6. Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the beef and Alfredo sauce.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream.
  • Add steamed broccoli or mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently with a splash of milk to loosen the sauce.
