Description
Creamy, savory ground beef alfredo combines rich homemade Alfredo sauce with seasoned beef and tender fettuccine for a comforting and satisfying weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook fettuccine pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
- Remove excess fat from the skillet, then add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes until softened.
- Pour in the heavy cream and milk, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Continue stirring until the sauce becomes creamy and smooth.
- Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the beef and Alfredo sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream.
- Add steamed broccoli or mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat gently with a splash of milk to loosen the sauce.
