Description

This creamy ground beef gnocchi is a rich and comforting one-pan dinner packed with tender potato gnocchi, savory beef, and parmesan cheese. It’s quick to make and perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes with juices
  • 1/3 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 pound uncooked potato gnocchi
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and chopped onion. Cook for about 7 minutes, breaking the meat apart as it browns.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and Italian seasoning. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the diced tomatoes with their juices, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Stir well to combine.
  4. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then add the potato gnocchi. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the gnocchi are tender.
  5. Uncover the skillet and cook a little longer if you prefer a thicker sauce.
  6. Stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and fully incorporated.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve warm.

Notes

  • Use spicy Italian sausage instead of ground beef for extra flavor.
  • Fresh spinach can be stirred in during the last few minutes of cooking.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Add a splash of broth or cream when reheating to loosen the sauce.
