Description

These healthy banana brownies are rich, fudgy, and naturally sweetened with ripe bananas. Made with simple ingredients, they are a wholesome dessert or snack.

Ingredients

  • 3 large ripe bananas
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (unsalted)
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a 6-inch brownie pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas into a smooth puree.
  3. Add peanut butter and cocoa powder, stirring until a thick brownie-like batter forms. If the batter is too dry, add more mashed banana or a splash of almond milk.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Allow to cool in the pan for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for best sweetness and texture.
  • If your peanut butter is thick or dry, add a small amount of plant-based milk to loosen the batter.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 1–2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
  • These brownies can be frozen for longer storage.
