Description
These healthy banana brownies are rich, fudgy, and naturally sweetened with ripe bananas. Made with simple ingredients, they are a wholesome dessert or snack.
Ingredients
- 3 large ripe bananas
- 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup peanut butter (unsalted)
- 1/2 cup dairy-free dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a 6-inch brownie pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas into a smooth puree.
- Add peanut butter and cocoa powder, stirring until a thick brownie-like batter forms. If the batter is too dry, add more mashed banana or a splash of almond milk.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for best sweetness and texture.
- If your peanut butter is thick or dry, add a small amount of plant-based milk to loosen the batter.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 1–2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
- These brownies can be frozen for longer storage.
