Description

This healthy breakfast apple crumble is a wholesome, naturally sweetened dish made with apples, oats, and nuts. It’s perfect for a cozy morning and easy to prepare with just a few clean ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 2 apples (medium-sized, chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup ground oats (or oat flour)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts or almonds)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped apples with lemon juice and cinnamon. Mix well and transfer to a small baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine oats, ground oats, chopped nuts, and baking powder.
  4. Add melted coconut oil and maple syrup to the oat mixture. Stir until crumbly and well combined.
  5. Spread the oat crumble topping evenly over the apples in the baking dish.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the topping is golden and the apples are tender.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm as is or with yogurt or milk.

  • You can use any variety of apples, but sweeter ones like Fuji or Gala work well.
