Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups water
- ½ cup organic apple juice
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp spirulina powder (for color, optional)
- 4 tbsp grass-fed collagen peptides
- 4 tbsp grass-fed gelatin
- 1 tsp sour apple flavoring (or flavor of choice)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, apple juice, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, maple syrup, and spirulina powder (if using). Stir to combine.
- Sprinkle the collagen peptides and gelatin evenly over the liquid mixture. Let sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- After blooming, gently heat the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until everything is fully dissolved and smooth. Do not let it boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in sour apple flavoring.
- Carefully pour the mixture into silicone gummy molds or a small glass dish.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
- Remove from molds or cut into squares if using a dish. Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
- You can use any flavoring you prefer if sour apple isn’t available.
- Spirulina is optional and only used for natural green coloring.
- Use silicone molds for fun shapes and easy removal.
- These gummies should be kept refrigerated to maintain texture.
