Description
A light and creamy banana dream cake made with yellow cake, banana pudding, whipped topping, and fresh banana slices — perfect for banana lovers!
Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 2 small boxes instant banana pudding (3.4 oz each)
- 4 cups milk
- 8 oz whipped topping, thawed
- 2 cups crushed vanilla wafers
- 3 bananas, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the cake in a 9×13 inch pan according to the directions on the box.
- Bake the cake as instructed, then allow it to cool for about 5–10 minutes.
- Using the back of a spoon, poke several holes into the top of the cake.
- In a bowl, whisk together the banana pudding mixes and milk until smooth and slightly thickened.
- Pour the pudding mixture evenly over the cake, making sure it fills the holes.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours, or until the pudding has set.
- Spread the thawed whipped topping over the cake evenly.
- Sprinkle the crushed vanilla wafers on top of the whipped topping.
- Arrange the banana slices over the top before serving.
- Serve chilled and refrigerate any leftovers.

- Use ripe but firm bananas to avoid browning too quickly.
- Add banana slices just before serving for best appearance.
- To prevent bananas from browning, you can lightly brush them with lemon juice.
