Description

Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, this herbed garlic bread is packed with buttery garlic flavor and fresh herbs. It is the perfect side dish for pasta, soups, and salads.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread, halved lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.
  3. Spread the garlic herb butter evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  4. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top, if using.
  5. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden and the butter is melted.
  7. For extra crispiness, broil for 1–2 minutes until lightly browned.
  8. Slice and serve warm.
