Description

This homemade pizookie combines the best parts of a chocolate chip cookie and a warm skillet dessert, topped with ice cream. It’s easy, customizable, and perfect for any occasion—from parties to late-night cravings.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • Vanilla ice cream, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the dough evenly into a greased oven-safe skillet or baking dish.
  8. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is slightly underbaked.
  9. Remove from oven and cool slightly.
  10. Top with scoops of vanilla ice cream and serve warm.

  • Mix in chopped nuts for added texture.
  • Make mini pizookies for personalized servings.
  • To reheat, microwave for 15–30 seconds or warm in a 300°F oven for 5–10 minutes.
