Description
This homemade pizookie combines the best parts of a chocolate chip cookie and a warm skillet dessert, topped with ice cream. It’s easy, customizable, and perfect for any occasion—from parties to late-night cravings.
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
- Vanilla ice cream, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the dough evenly into a greased oven-safe skillet or baking dish.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is slightly underbaked.
- Remove from oven and cool slightly.
- Top with scoops of vanilla ice cream and serve warm.
Notes
- You can use any oven-safe dish if you don’t have a skillet.
- Substitute chocolate chips with caramel bits, white chocolate, or peanut butter chips.
- Mix in chopped nuts for added texture.

- To reheat, microwave for 15–30 seconds or warm in a 300°F oven for 5–10 minutes.
