Description

This Homemade Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea combines the bold flavor of black tea with warm cinnamon and sweet vanilla, offering a cozy and refreshing drink perfect for any season, served hot or iced.

Ingredients

  • 2 black tea bags (or 2 tsp loose-leaf black tea)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (or 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk of your choice (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 cup water
  • 12 tsp sweetener (honey, sugar, or maple syrup, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a gentle boil.
  2. Add the cinnamon stick (or ground cinnamon) and black tea bags. Let steep for 5–7 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bags and cinnamon stick.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and sweetener, if using.
  5. Add 1 cup of milk and heat gently until warm. Do not boil.
  6. For hot milk tea: pour into a mug and enjoy warm.
  7. For iced milk tea: let the mixture cool, then pour over ice in a tall glass.

Notes

  • Use decaf black tea for a caffeine-free version.
  • Whole milk creates a creamier texture, but non-dairy options like almond or oat milk also work well.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • To reheat, warm gently without boiling to preserve flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness and spice to taste preferences.
