Description

These honey soy chicken drumsticks (or thighs or wings) are tender, flavorful, and easy to make with a simple marinade of pantry staples. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or casual gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce (low sodium if preferred)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • Chicken drumsticks, thighs, or wings (about 3 to 4 lbs)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
  2. Place the chicken pieces in a large baking dish or zip-top bag.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken and toss to coat evenly. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, ideally overnight.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Arrange the chicken pieces in a single layer in a baking dish. Pour marinade over top if using a bag.
  6. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes to 1 hour, turning the chicken once or twice during cooking, until the chicken is cooked through and glazed.
  7. Serve hot with rice or your favorite sides.
