Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter, divided
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken breasts for 4–5 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and chicken broth. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Optional: Stir in cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
- Return chicken to the skillet, coating each breast with the sauce. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- You can substitute apple cider vinegar with white vinegar or lemon juice.
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
