Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 eggs
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (for slurry)
- 1 tablespoon water (for slurry)
- Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
- Green onions, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
- Beat eggs in a separate bowl.
- Dip chicken pieces into the egg, then coat with the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and 2 tablespoons of water. Bring to a simmer.
- Mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 1 tablespoon water to make a slurry. Add to the sauce and stir until thickened.
- Toss the fried chicken in the sauce until evenly coated.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired. Serve hot.
