Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken or turkey
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil or olive oil
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons chili flakes (optional, adjust to taste)

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Green onions, chopped (for serving)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ground chicken or turkey with panko, egg, onion powder, garlic powder, ground ginger, salt, and pepper until combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into tablespoon-size balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15-18 minutes, until browned and cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile, in a skillet over medium heat, combine the sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, chili flakes, fresh ginger, and garlic.
