Description
These honey roasted pecans are a perfect sweet and crunchy snack, with a touch of salt to balance the flavor. Easy to prepare with just a few ingredients, they make a great treat for the holidays or a homemade gift.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and stir in the honey until well combined.
- Add the pecans to the honey butter mixture and stir until the pecans are evenly coated.
- Spread the coated pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the pecans are golden and fragrant. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
- Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with sugar and salt. Stir to coat evenly while still warm.
- Allow to cool completely on the baking sheet. The coating will harden as they cool.
